Cumby ISD has one library serving both campuses. It is located in the high school building. Students are excited about reading. Starting in the January 2010 we will have Enterprise; which is simply AR online. Cumby Telephone has donated monies to help with stocking the AR store with prizes. There are 6 computers for all your research needs. We had a successful book fair in September. Many dads, moms and grandparents visited the fair.
This year Cumby ISD was involved with the Read for the Record event. All students had the book, The Very Hungry Caterpillar by Eric Carle, read to them on October 8th. The goal was to break last year’s world record of one million; we did it- 2,019,752 children were read to across the country and the world!
