I recently married during Summer 2010. I have a wonderful wife, Tammy, a step son, Colton, and my daughter Amber. My daughter starts cosmetology school in August, and my son is in 10th grade at SSHS. My wife is a nurse. I was born and have lived in Sulphur Springs, Texas most of my life. I have traveled to every contiguous state in the United States except Maine, Vermont, New Hampshire, Oregon, and Washington State. My daughter has accompanied me on most of the trips. We started our travels when she was about 8. My favorite places in our country are Washington, D.C., and Wyoming in late Spring, and New Mexico in the Winter. I have taught 4th, 5th, and 6th grade students in self-contained and team teacher settings for 15 years. This will be my 18th year to teach and my third year to teach junior high/high school students. I am very excited about teaching at Cumby ISD and have set high goals for myself and in turn for my students to attain this year.
